EU-Parlament macht den Weg frei!
Mit großer Mehrheit billigte das EU-Parlament am 14.02.2012 die EU-Verordnung zur Umsetzung des europäischen Zahlungsraumes (SEPA).
Ab dem 01. Februar 2014 werden nationale Überweisungen und Lastschriften auf die SEPA-Formate umgestellt. Der IBAN wird ab diesem Zeitpunkt zur Pflicht. Für Transfers im Inland gilt eine Übergangsfrist bis 2016, d.h. BLZ und Kontonummern können noch genutzt werden; vorausgesetzt die Bank stellt diese im Zahlungsverkehr automatisch um.
